Candice Alexander, Founder and Licensed Agent
Candice Alexander
Owner · Licensed Agent

Hi, I'm Candice Alexander and I've been writing policies for families in California since 2013. I enjoy being a part of the community, and building relationships is one of the best parts of my job. I know that you choose your car and your home to fit your lifestyle, and need insurance to fit your budget. I also know how important it is to protect your family and what you've built with your hard work. Whether it's your car, home, business, or estate, you want to make sure you're covered, and that's what I do. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you find the solutions that meet your needs.

Licensed Sales Producer

Hi, I'm Lisa Marquez and I have worked for Allstate since 2011. I grew up in Santa Paula and have called Ventura home for the past 20+ years. I have worked alongside Candice right here in the Oak View office for the past 11 years, so when you call, you're just as likely to reach me. I'm passionate about making sure clients actually understand what their policy covers by taking the time to educate and listen and I am just as passionate about helping those in my community that may not have a means to help themselves. We have the best team hands down when it comes to your insurance needs.

Why this matters

The cheapest policy isn't a good deal when you have something to lose.

01 / Liability

State minimums won't save your assets.

California's required liability is $30,000 per person / $60,000 per occurrance. One bodily injury can easily exceed those limits

02 / Umbrella

The policy most people don't think they need.

If you have home equity, retirement savings, or a business, you need extra liability to cover your equity.

03 / Claims

Having a personal agent in your corner makes a difference.

Being able to talk directly to your agent who can walk you through complexity of a claim is priceless.

Coverage

Everything you need, one local agent.

Most of our clients bundle multiple lines — the savings are real and you only have one phone number to call when something happens.

Auto Insurance

Real liability protection for families with assets, canyon-road and commuter coverage that fits how you actually drive, and discounts that actually apply.

Home Insurance

Replacement-cost coverage that accounts for wildfire risk, flood zones, and what it actually costs to rebuild in Ojai Valley and West County — not what your house was worth 10 years ago.

Umbrella Coverage

$1M+ in extra liability protection that sits on top of your auto and home policies. About $25/month for most households.

Life Insurance

Term and permanent options reviewed honestly. We'll tell you what you actually need — not what pays the highest commission.

Renters & Condo

Affordable protection for personal property, liability, and loss-of-use. Often required by landlords and absurdly inexpensive.

Small Business

General liability, business owner's policies, commercial auto, and workers' comp for Ventura County small businesses.

Before you call

Common questions, answered honestly.

Is your coverage more expensive than the discount carriers?

Sometimes, yes — and that's by design. We write for real protection, not state minimums. The savings discount carriers offer typically come from lower coverage limits, higher deductibles, and less responsive claims service. For most families with assets, the math works out in favor of fuller coverage. We'll show you the difference side-by-side and you decide.

What happens after I submit the form?

You'll get a call from Candice — the actual agent, not a call center — within one business hour during office hours. The first call usually takes 5–10 minutes. No follow-up barrage. No transfer to a sales floor. If we're not a fit for your situation, we'll tell you.

Do you only do auto insurance?

No. We write auto, home, condo, renters, life, and umbrella policies, plus small business coverage. Most of our clients bundle multiple lines because the discounts are real and the convenience of one agent for everything is hard to beat.

What's umbrella insurance and do I need it?

An umbrella policy extends your liability coverage above and beyond your auto and home policy limits — typically by $1 million or more. If you have home equity, retirement savings, college funds, a business, or rental property, you almost certainly need it. It costs about $25/month for most households. We'll tell you honestly whether it makes sense for you.

How long have you been in business?

13 years. Same office in California. Same phone number. Same email. We're not going anywhere — and that matters when you're the person who'll be handling your claim in five years.

How do you handle teen drivers on a policy?

Carefully. Adding a teen significantly increases premium because the risk is real — but there are good-student discounts, telematics options, and policy structures that can soften the impact. More importantly, we'll make sure your liability limits and umbrella coverage are appropriate before that teen ever gets in the car. That's the conversation we want to have with you.

Get in touch

5 minutes. No pressure. A real person.

We'll look at what you currently have, what you're paying, and where the actual gaps are. If switching makes sense, we'll talk. If it doesn't, we'll tell you that too.
